This should happen more often.

There also should be better safeguards built in as well.

I am sure that the $441,000 restitution owed by one of them will never be fully reimbursed.


Texas pharmacist gets prison for fraud conspiracy

MCALLEN, Texas (AP) — A South Texas pharmacist and a drug store worker have been sentenced to federal prison for conspiring to defraud Medicaid.

Prosecutors say 56-year-old Sara Elicia Garza of Mission was sentenced Monday to two years in prison. A judge in McAllen ordered 18 months in prison for 39-year-old Valerie Jean Flores of Mission.

Both pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit health care fraud.
