BROWNSVILLE — U.S. Customs officers in Pharr found more than a ton of marijuana hidden in a shipment of frozen broccoli, Customs and Border Protection said Wednesday.
The seizure occurred Monday at the import lot of the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge.
Officers inspecting a tractor trailer coming in from Mexico found 158 bundles of marijuana with a total weight of 2,482 pounds.
