Very little, very late

It gives me no peace of mind for my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins murdered by him or others like him.

In the end it is better than no justice at all, I guess.

Of course, there will be the ultimate higher authority he will have to answer to in a very short while, given his age.

UPDATE:

While convicted by the court he was apparently freed due to his age.  So, there really was no justice after all was there?  They're all just a bunch of old dead Jews from a long time ago anyway.  Right?

Demjanjuk convicted over Nazi camp deaths
By DAVID RISING, Associated Press

MUNICH (AP) — Retired U.S. autoworker John Demjanjuk was convicted of thousands of counts of acting as an accessory to murder at a Nazi death camp and sentenced on Thursday to five years in prison — closing one chapter in a decades-long legal battle.

Demjanjuk was found guilty of 28,060 counts of accessory to murder, one for each person who died during the time he was ruled to have been a guard at the Sobibor camp in Nazi-occupied Poland.

Presiding Judge Ralph Alt said the 91-year-old was a piece of the Nazis' "machinery of destruction."
