Nine-year-old Natasha Leininger's family has a history of service. In 1974, her grandfather Dr. John Leininger began medical relief missions in Haiti.

Natasha also traveled to Haiti with her family to care for orphans of the Haiti Children's Rescue Mission. When the magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck Haiti in 2010, her grandfather flew in on a private plane to help the orphans.
