DRT now under state investigation
By Scott Huddleston - Express-News The Texas attorney general's office has launched an exhaustive investigation of the Alamo and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
The Daughters, the caretakers of the state-owned battle site, have three weeks to gather a list of documents, including e-mails, financial audits, engineering reports and even records on vending machine sales.
If the Daughters fail to comply with the state's request, they forfeit their right to do business in Texas.
