Hundreds of marijuana plants found in house
By Valentino Lucio - Express-News

Bexar County narcotics officers along with the Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated several hydroponic-marijuana plants worth about $250,000 Friday, officials said.

The bust happened around 11:30 a.m. at a home in the 800 block of Briarcliff Drive, near Lockhill-Selma Road, said Deputy Ino Badillo. Authorities obtained a search warrant for the house after they received a tip that marijuana plants were grown at the Castle Hills location.

Officers found 266 plants in various stages of development, along with equipment to grow the marijuana inside the home, the deputy said. The street value of the marijuana was estimated at $5,000 per pound, Badillo added.
