The invention of lying

Why do this?

Why lie to get a search warrant?

Did he think no one would look at this? Its just plain, sheer stupidity.

Bexar deputy on leave over lying allegations

A Bexar County sheriff’s deputy has been put on leave and will be moved to desk duty over allegations that he lied to get a search warrant for a drug case.

Charles Flores, 31, who has been with the department 10 years, could be the first deputy prosecuted as the result of separate ongoing investigations into alleged wrongdoing by current and former members of the 15-person sheriff’s narcotics unit. The development also could call into question dozens of cases Flores produced.

Sheriff’s Deputy Chief Dale Bennett said his agency is running parallel criminal and internal investigations, resulting in Flores being placed on paid administrative leave Friday for 10 days. Earlier that week, sheriff’s investigators turned over documents to the Bexar County district attorney’s office recommending a charge of aggravated perjury against Flores, First Assistant District Attorney Cliff Herberg said.
