Wrong way Corrigan

He was just doing what his wife wanted him to do.

Thank God no one was hurt.

For those who don't know, Wrong Way Corrigan was a pilot who said he was going to fly from new York to California and flew to Ireland instead.

Man drives wrong way for 40 miles

An 88-year-old man has escaped accident after driving the wrong way down a motorway for 40 miles.

The incident happened in Nebraska, where state troopers tried to get the motorist to pull over, but he just waved and smiled at them. He twice drove over stop sticks that flattened his tyres.

Jim Parish, commander of State Patrol Troop D in North Platte, said the man was lucky to have three factors on his side: "Divine intervention. Pretty good work on our part. And attentive drivers."

The driver had been sent out by his wife to get some food for dinner and got lost.
