Jailed man's robbery counts may grow
Express-News -

A 49-year-old man who police believe is connected to a string of recent bank heists and the robbery of a fast-food restaurant remained jailed Sunday on $30,000 bond, officials said.
Charged with two counts of robbery, Herbert Salinas was arrested Saturday afternoon after authorities say he robbed the Wachovia Bank on Loop 410 near Broadway at 11:50 a.m.

He is also suspected in the robbery of a Washington Mutual on San Pedro Avenue a couple of hours earlier.

Police also said Salinas matches the description of a man who recently held up banks on McCullough and San Pedro avenues and robbed a Taco Cabana.
