Alba man held after fatal auto accident
Express-News -

An Alba man was held under $250,000 bond at the Hays County jail Monday on a charge of criminally negligent homicide stemming from an accident Friday night on Interstate 35 that killed one Kyle resident and injured three others, officials said.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Andrew Martinez said the suspect, Luis Mendoza-Baldelamar, 20, was northbound on I-35 when his 1995 Volkswagon hit a northbound Jeep driven by Daniel Guerrero, 41, of Kyle.

The Jeep hit the divider wall at the center of the highway and then flipped at the 218 mile marker about 7:15 p.m., Martinez said. Guerrero was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passengers, all from Kyle, were taken to University Hospital in Austin.
