Okay anyone care to bet that alcohol played a large and important role in the causation part of this stupid incident?

On Monday afternoon, the Hays County Sheriff received a 911 call in reference to a single motor vehicle accident that occurred in the 800 Block of Hidden Creek Dr. west of Dripping Springs. Hidden Creek Dr. is a private-gated road.The driver, 20-year-old Andres Lloyd Rojas, operated a 2004 Hyundai Sonata while two 19-year-old men were on the roof of the vehicle.


According to a report issued by Hays County authorities, Rojas proceeded down a hill on Hidden Creek Rd., and both male passengers were thrown off the roof of the vehicle. Both males hit the pavement and slid off the roadway striking large rocks on the shoulder of the road.


Judge Terry Kyle, Hays Co. Justice of the Peace for Pct. 4, pronounced Clint Alexander Luera dead. Sean Ikechukwu Obienu was transported to Brackenridge Hospital. Rojas was not injured.


Rojas was booked into the Hays County Jail and charged with manslaughter, a second degree felony. He remains in custody on a bond for $100,000.
